Mystery
I was in a busy café with a large group of friends, listening to their boisterous conversation. Savouring my coffee, I looked up into the rafters of the café. The soothing aqua-coloured semi-transparent glass offered a hint of foliage beyond. I lost myself in the patterns of the rafters and the play of diffuse light, and the noise of my friends receded. Silence amid the chatter and clatter.

What a pretty place to enjoy coffee and conversation!
Yes what a lovely scene.
Viet Nam has so many lovely cafés. People sip coffee amidst foliage and orchids. Tiny footbridges lead across fish ponds. Geckos chirp in the rafters. Best place to spend the early morning.
The colors are beautiful and the rafters give it such a graphic feel.
I think it may have been the graphic feel that grabbed me.
Quite haunting in a pleasant way. The image hangs around your mind with its strength and colours.
Amazing what a few lines will do.
