Twist

Time Twist

Do it now and do it soon.
Do it like you’ll only be
here for a hundred years.
Do what you want like
the others don’t care.
They don’t care in a hundred years
they really won’t care.

Do it now and do it
yesterday. Do it like you’ll still be
here a hundred years ago.
In the space of a century
your memories come flooding back.
Do it now and do it right
twist it to the left and right
all the way into the present
yesterday and do it soon

Dada Time Twist

soon. all left it a
soon. to and you’ll only
it to, and do be
it now and it soon.
only years and the twist
and do years they care
and do they you’ll be
here soon they
here. All soon they
left right and soon

century flooding
back. And do it
back. Into the memories
now and right
memories twist it
back. do you years like here
do back right it here
memories century
a hundred soon here

Very twisting and turning through the space time!

Nice rhythm and use of tenses.

Do the time warp again? 😉

    “century flooding
    back. And do it
    back. Into the memories
    now and right
    memories twist it
    back.”

Great composition and overall concept for the poem.

A swerving journey, you owned it, I followed, lovely repetition too, I enjoyed it

  8. Pat Hatt says:

Great rhythm to it, creating that much more of a sense of do it now, really like the point that makes too.

  9. John says:

Clever theme with a twist of twists!

  10. Love the twists in meaning, away from the expected. I’m very interested in verse that conveys sense in seemingly nonsensical syntax.
