The City We Share: Book Launch

The City We Share (Shoreline Press) is finally available  , and the book launch will be held at the Pointe Claire Library on Aug. 20, 2011. Please see the poster below for more information. My essay Seasons of the Lake is in excellent company, as this anthology features the poetry, fiction and non-fiction of 35 different authors. Nine of the pieces are in French.

Mark Abley and the authors will be present to sign the book and some of us will give brief readings.  Judith Isherwood from Shoreline Press will offer copies of the book for sale. This event coincides with the centennial festivities of the City’s “Pointe-Claire Days”, so there are many other events taking place around the village, the library and at Stewart Hall.

And you’re mentioned on the poster! 🙂 Good job, Chris!
Hope the signing will see lots of people and be a good experience, meeting the other authors and the readers.
Best of luck and writing! 🙂

Thanks so much Berit! I met some of the other authors when we did a reading in March. Now I’ll have the opportunity to meet the others.
      Thanks for all your support.

  2. Congratulations, Chris!
What a beautiful cover. Are you going to read? I know Judith Isherwood. I mean, I met her twice: once at a workshop at the Atwater Library and then at a lecture at the Canadian Authors’ Association. All the best and a successful book launch!

Thanks Claudia! Yes, I’ll be reading an excerpt from my essay. Judith will be there too. As you may already know, the cover is the windmill out on the point in Pointe Claire Village. If you’re in the area, drop in; there will be refreshments of some kind, and there are many other events as well.

What do you think?
