I’m pleased to announce that my short non-fiction piece, “Life with Mệ”, will be included in the forthcoming Writers Abroad anthology, “Foreign Encounters”.
The anthology will be released October 24th, and will feature short fiction, non-fiction and poetry on the general theme of relationships around the world. “Life with Mệ” is about my relationship with my husband’s grandmother.
Writers Abroad will donate all proceeds from the anthology to Books Abroad. Books Abroad is currently helping to provide free, carefully chosen school books for children in 84 countries.
Author Julia Gregson, whose novel “East of the Sun” won the Prince Maurice Prize, will write the foreword. The anthology will be published in print and will later be available as an e-book.
A list of all the submissions selected for publication in the Foreign Encounters anthology appears on the Writers Abroad website.
