A to Z: A Blog Tour of the Alphabet

Welcome to the A to Z challenge, a tour of the alphabet with a blog post for each letter. I’ve noticed other bloggers taking this on and thought it might be a fun way to write a little every day. After mulling it over for a while, I asked a few friends if they’d like to join me.

I want this to be fun, not a tough slog, so there are no rules other than to create a post for each letter. Each post could consist of just a paragraph, or several. It could be a photograph with a caption, or a photo set.

So far, we are a group of seven. Some of us will work on themes, while others will simply choose a random topic for each letter. We’ve agreed that this doesn’t have to be a daily posting. Maybe every one to three days. It’s June, after all! The idea is to keep it fun and creative.

When I invited  Dorothee Lang to take part, we discussed how working on a project can open a new perspective. She mentioned that she already had a head full of ideas for the letter A. I responded that it’s funny how this works…you start seeing things as subsets of other things and you start seeing connections everywhere. Everything is connected!

I’m planning to write about things Vietnamese, mainly culinary, and I’ll put up my post for the letter A later today.

Please visit these fine participants (list and descriptions to be updated as needed):
Margrét Helgadottir – Growing up as a cross-cultural kid
Jo Thomas – Mousie the stuffed mouse tours Thurnscoe, South Yorkshire
Dorothee Lang – Playing with language
Rose Hunter – Place/Memory
Jane Hammons – Random topics
Fred Osuna – “My South.”

Happy June, everyone, and feel free to join in!

Thanks Chris! I don’t know what I’m doing yet, which feels kind of nice. I will have a theme I think, just don’t know what it is yet, for sure. … Thanks for including me and I look forward to reading everyone’s!
